3. End of the tenancy

Step 1 Agreement

  • At the end of the tenancy period, the Landlordwhat's this? (or Agentwhat's this?) and Tenantwhat's this? should agree how much of the deposit should be returned to the Tenant.

 

Step 2 Returning the deposit

  • Within 10 days of agreeing how much of the deposit should be returned to the Tenant , or within 10 days of the Tenant requesting repayment of the deposit, the Agent or Landlord must return the agreed amount to the Tenant.
  • If there is a dispute between the Landlord/Agent and Tenant about the return of the deposit, the Tenant can advise mydeposits of a potential dispute.
