2. Protecting a deposit

 

Step 1 Deposit paid by the Tenant

Step 3 Deposit Protection Certificate

  • mydeposits provides a Deposit Protection Certificatewhat's this? together with an Information for Tenants leaflet (PDFicon 585kB PDF file] for the Agent or Landlord to pass to the Tenant.

  • Agent or Landlord must sign and give a copy of the Deposit Protection Certificate to the Tenant to check and countersign within 14 days of receiving the deposit.
  • We suggest thaty Agents keep a copy of the signed Deposit Protection Certificate.
